The name: The cistus or rock rose (‘Cistus’ in Latin) is one of our environment’s iconic plants. It can be pink or white and defines the landscape in May.

Winemaking: The fruit is picked by hand and undergoes single vineyard fermentation. 60% of the blend is matured in 500-litre barrels, and the rest in tanks.

Tasting notes: This complex, velvety wine with black fruit, chocolate and thyme overtones is grown in selected vineyard sites. Cistus is a profound, powerful wine yet stays fresh and tense.

Food pairings: Cistus shows at its best with duck, red meats and full-flavoured cheeses.
